Our Work and What Quality Paint Work Looks Like

A look at the types of interior, exterior and commercial projects our crew handles, and a practical guide to spotting good workmanship on any paint job.

About the Photos on This Page

The images in this painting project gallery illustrate the kinds of spaces and surfaces we work on. They are representative photos, not a portfolio of specific client homes. We are building a library of our own before-and-after project photos and will add them here with owners' permission.

In the meantime, the most useful thing we can offer is a clear picture of the work itself: what we paint, and what a finished job should look like when you walk it with us at the end.

Projects We Regularly Take On

Our crew moves between very different settings in a given month. Older wood-sided homes near downtown Gainesville may need careful scraping and priming of original trim. Concrete-block ranch homes common around Ocala and Belleview often call for crack repair and elastomeric coatings. Newer subdivision homes usually need interior refreshes, cabinet updates or a first full exterior repaint.

Commercial work ranges from single-suite offices to apartment turnovers and church fellowship halls. Wood work includes decks, privacy fences, pergolas and porch ceilings. See our services for the full list.

How to Judge a Finished Paint Job

Whether you hire us or someone else, these are the details worth checking at the final walkthrough. Look in daylight and again with your normal interior lights on; raking light along a wall reveals more than straight-on light does. A quality paint job checklist is short, but each item tells you something about the prep and care behind it.

  • Cut lines: crisp, straight edges where wall meets ceiling and trim, with no wavering or bleed
  • Sheen uniformity: no shiny or dull patches (flashing) when you look along a wall at an angle
  • Caulk lines: smooth, continuous beads at trim joints and corners, painted over, with no gaps or smears
  • Even coverage with no thin spots where the old color or primer shows through
  • No brush marks, roller lap lines or drips on doors, trim and cabinet faces
  • Clean hardware, outlets, glass and floors, with no overspray on fixtures or landscaping
  • Exterior edges sealed at windows, doors and penetrations

Why the Details Matter Long Term

Small finish flaws are not just cosmetic. A gap in exterior caulk lets rain behind the paint film; a thin coat on a sunny wall fades years early. We walk the job with you before we call it done and fix anything on the punch list while the crew is still on site.
